Position Description: Office Administrator

The dual role of office manager is to greet people and perform daily church office operations. This is the first point of contact in the office to direct and engage visitors.

Church affiliation is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage office communications which include mail, email, phone messages, Facebook, and website

  • Greet visitors and answer phones in a polite, prompt and helpful manner

  • Prepare newsletters, worship slides and worship bulletins

  • Maintain the facility calendar which includes coordinating with preschool.

  • Provide administrative support to pastor, staff and volunteers.

  • Oversee use and inventory of office and janitorial supplies, use and maintenance of equipment and maintain filing systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 11 Pro, Publisher, management of website and social media administration.

  • Ability to engage and connect people

  • Dependability and able to maintain confidences

  • Detail-oriented

  • Willingness to grow and learn in the work environment which includes learning new software as needed (Church Windows, Easy Worship)

Work Hours:

  • 20 hours/ week during training period (first 4 weeks) or as needed

  • 16 hours/week: Monday- Thursday 9:00 AM- 1:00PM

Compensation:

  • Hourly- Starting wage: $20.00- $22.00 depending upon experience

  • Paid time off begins after 90 days probation period of first year.
