By Water and the Spirit

Today we celebrate Baptism of the Lord Sunday. We are invited to remember that in baptism, we are marked by the water and the Spirit. To remember our baptisms is to remember and set free the work of the Spirit within us. Remembering our baptisms on the same weekend we remember the legacy of Dr. King reminds us that the Spirit's working within us is always towards justice and liberation for all humanity and creation.
